Eagle Scout Project Benefits Feral Cats

James Livesey of Middleton recently earned the rank of Eagle, the highest level in scouting that only 4% achieve, by selecting the Alley Cat Allies design for outdoor feral cat shelters, securing materials and donations, and organizing his scout troop to build 4 shelters for DCFoF.   

James completed the project by delivering 2 of them to the home of  a delighted 10 feral cat colony caregiver, whose cats are being live trapped and spay/neutered by our volunteer veterinary team at our once monthly surgery days. Click here for the design of this shelter, which can be made for about $50.
