Americium got off to a bad start - found as a tiny kitten in plastic tubing in a parking lot. Problems with his esophagus mean he's had WAY more than his share of poking, prodding and testing. Yet somehow Americium has responded with a radiant, joyful spirit. I see him at adoption fairs - rolling over on his back for strangers' petting, playing with the other cats' tails, and filling the air with his silly chirping purr - and I know that he will be someone's once-in-a-lifetime cat. Americium must be adopted by someone with no other cats OR someone who is absolutely committed to keeping him away from hard food, which could literally kill him. He will take a little extra work every day, probably for the rest of his life. But I'm positive his adopter will say he's worth every bit of it.
Americium loves other cats, and he lives with and loves dogs too, especially the ones who will let him play with their tails!
