Make pet adoption your first option!
We have tame cats available for adoption to lifelong indoor-only homes.
Dane County Friends of Ferals does not allow our cats and kittens to be declawed. We would be happy to talk to you about alternatives to declawing, such as gel caps, scratching posts and behavior modification. Read more about the problems caused by declawing and solutions to scratching problems. Occasionally, we have several cats who are already declawed come into our rescue. You can check with the Tame Adoption Coordinator or do a search on the website.
If you rent, please review your apartment’s pet policy before you fill out the adoption application. Some landlords have restrictions on cats with claws, number or age of pets, require pet deposits and monthly fees, or do not allow pets at all. So it is best to have that information on hand before you apply for a cat. Here is a list of pet friendly apartments from the Dane County Humane Society.
Email email@example.com to arrange a visit with the cats!

Our adoption fees are low considering the amount of care and treatment our cats receive before being adopted. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for worms (if needed) and tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Additional donations are very much appreciated. (Please note that our fosters and adoption fair staff do not have change. Please consider rounding up to donate to our organization, or bringing exact change or check. Thank you!)
